A Few of My Thoughts and Emily Bronte!

A Few of My Thoughts, and Emily Bronte!

Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;
Lengthen night and shorten day;
Every leaf speaks bliss to me,
Fluttering from the autumn tree.

I shall smile when wreaths of snow
Blossom where the rose should grow;
I shall sing when night’s decay
Ushers in a drearier day.

Emily Bronte

I wanted to share this poem from Emily Bronte, which perfectly speaks of my feelings for autumn and the impending winter. It’s always wise for a Canadian to embrace each season as they happen! Since we experience all four seasons, a person has to enjoy all aspects of the changing weather. I will admit that autumn has been very disappointing for me this year! My October has been a month of 30 cm of snow and I don’t know how much rain, the sun has been hiding for pretty much the whole month, and all the autumn foliage was gone early on from all the snow. So, I’ll look ahead to a cozy winter with indoor projects to keep me busy. I also enjoy having farm animals in the winter. It forces me to get outside, no matter the temperature, and deal with chores. I love being out in the cold, early in the morning and looking at the clear starry sky! I feel invigorated when my first breath outside is shockingly cold and almost takes my breath away. Of course I’m probably romanticizing it! The reality is the truck won’t start, the tip of my nose hurts from being frozen, yet again, and the driveway is blown in with snow. I have to carry the dog everywhere so her little feet don’t get cold, and the water pipes are frozen! I finally got the truck started but get stuck backing out from where I park, I have a shovel in the truck to shovel myself out, but I forgot my gloves, and best of all is when I’m finally on my way….driving through the snow banks covering the driveway, I miss the road and end up in the ditch…..and stuck….again! Yup…I love winter!

Thankfully that’s not here…yet! Today it’s all about being cozy and warm, while I enjoy sipping something with pumpkin in it! I experienced my first Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks the other day, and it was like liquid pumpkin pie! I think I had a smile glued on my face the whole time I drank it! Heavenly! But, on with the outfit!! Today I’m wearing the Heather Ombre Sweater and Jeans from #bubbles! The outfit comes in standard sizes, fitmesh sizes, plus fitted versions for the Maitreya, SLink, and Belleza mesh bodies! The pants and sweater are HUD driven with three textures for the jeans and eight colours for the sweater! This is perfect for a stroll while looking for the perfect pumpkin!

It may be a little chilly for me to wear sandals here in real life! But luckily in Second Life there’s no such thing as cold feet! The lovely Juno Sandals are exclusive to the Boho Culture Fair from Slipper Originals! There’s oodles of colour options and areas to customize and they’re compatible with the SLink, Maitreya, and Belleza feet. The Boho Culture Fair runs until November 4th! Also, it’s the fifth anniversary for the fair so there may be some gifts!! 🙂

The Haus of Swag Fair is on and Veechi has the subtly gorgeous Gitz Liner for your perusal! There’s nine colours and the pack is compatible with classic avatars plus, Genesis Labs, Catwa, Lelutka, and Logo mesh heads! The beauty mark I have is also from Veechi, so check them out while you’re at the main store!

The Olinda hair is from Truth Hair.

The poses are from oOo Studio Poses.

As per usual, I’m wearing the Lara mesh body from maitreya, the Nelly 2.0 mesh head from Genesis Labs, and the casual hands and flat feet from SLink.

And the spooky atmosphere is at All Hollows at Moochie! It’s the mainland below the main store of Hello Dave, and if you come down here you can search for some great Halloween nail appliers, plus there’s a Masquerade this coming Saturday, so get your costume ready and mark it on the calendar!
