Way back, years ago, in a galaxy…not so far away, I saw the, then new movie, Star Wars! It was 1977 and it was the best movie I’d ever seen, in my life, which at that time wasn’t all that long! I saw it probably about ten times in the theaters, and since then have watched it countless times on DVD or during one of the Star Wars marathons which is frequently on TV. So, since I was fairly young when that very first Star Wars movie came out, it was a fairly big influence on me. Here is a little list of the things I’ve learned from that movie.
1) Luke Skywalker taught me to trust my gut feelings…it’s either good instincts or the force is with me!
2) Princess Leia taught me to stand up for what I believe, never back down, and to believe in myself!
3) Obi-Wan Kenobi taught me to trust my elders. If they say they’ll be back….and in greater numbers…..believe him…they will be!
4) Han Solo taught me that it’s not always about money! You gotta do what’s right!
5) From Uncle Owen, I learned that when buying used, be it a car or droid, never trust the salesman!
Like everyone else, I’m saddened at the loss of Carrie Fisher, and today her Mom, Debbie Reynolds! Again, I say, 2016 has been one tough year!
I’m standing out on the pier at my beach cabin! I’ve been doing a little bit of decorating there, out with the Christmas and in with the Steampunk! But first, the outfit! I’ll start with one of my all time favourite tattoos! The Les Fleur Tattoo is from Pimp My Sh!t and it’s stunning! The perfect amount of coverage for my liking and it comes in three ink tones. It works with classic avatars, Omega compatible mesh bodies, and the TMP mesh body.
The gorgeous Nemo Coat in brown is from E-Clipse Design and is available at the current round of Shiny Shabby, in which Steampunk is the theme! I’ve loved everything steampunk since I first came to Second Life and still love it’s range of colours, intricate gears, and the incredibly creative inventions! The Nemo Coat is HUD driven with six colours for the top under it and both the top and tails can be hidden, or not! It’s compatible with the Maitreya, SLink, and Belleza mesh bodies.
The ‘Show Time’ panties, Queen are from Blueberry and available at the current round of The Arcade. You can also see the tops of the Mykonos Boots, black,RARE from a gacha at the main store.
The F1124 hair is from tram.
I consist of the Alex mesh head from Logo, while wearing the Alexa skin in honey tone from Sinful Curves. I also have the Lara mesh body from Maitreya, and the casual hands from SLink on.
Behind me I’ve displayed the Steampunk Posters from [zerkalo], from one of the three gachas from them at Shiny Shabby. The crate I’m using for a table is what an item from [zerkalo] comes in, so you’ll get a few of these when playing the gachas.
Bee Designs is at Shiny Shabby, too, and I’ve gotten most of the Steampunk Living Room gacha set that’s also at Shiny Shabby. I have most of it inside, but the Mirrors are out on the pier.
The Reiley Net Chair,PG is from Trompe Loeil.
The Himalayan Salt Lamp, yellow is from [free bird]. It’s turned off here, but it can be turned on by touch.
I’m outside on the pier of the JAC Boat Shack from Redgrave.
The pose, and a little extra lighting is from the new 2017 version of LUMIPro.
