“There is no point to samba, if it doesn’t make you smile!”
I don’t live in an area that celebrates Carnival, but that doesn’t mean I can’t live it in Second Life! The closest I’ve come to Carnival, or Mardi Gras, is being in the New Orleans area during Mardi Gras, one year! It goes back to my trucking days, so as usual, I didn’t participate in any of the festivities, but I did experience the excitement that comes with it! The area I was in was abuzz with energy and excitement, but since I was working, I didn’t personally experience it! I mean who would choose night long parties and revelry, when the other option is delivering chemicals to a chemical plant? 😛 One sad side note to this story is when I was at this chemical plant, I couldn’t believe the safety measures I was forced to go through when I arrived, or lack of safety measures, I should say! I was handed a little lunch bag with a little mask in it and was told to keep it with me at all times! I saw workers pedaling around on bicycles that had the little bags hanging on them, for safety! So, when I heard about a huge explosion at a chemical plant, a bunch of years back, in Breaux Bridge, Loiusiana, my heart fell, knowing that there was probably loss of life, and those little bags with a little mask in it did absolutely no good in protecting anyone! Ok, that was a bit of a downer, but as Kevin Bacon says in Footloose……Let’s Dance!!
I am in complete awe of this outfit! It’s called the ‘Mistress of Rio’ and it’s a complete outfit for a Samba Dancer! It’s amazingly big, looks amazingly great, and if you don’t feel ultra feminine in it, there’s something wrong!! It’s from Boudoir and it’s ‘THE’ place to go, to find any costume you may want! The quality is incomparable and the outfit includes, shoes for SLink high feet, a mesh thong, mesh adornments for the back, the front of the thong, and the bra(SLink and Maitreya compatible plus a system layer), plus the highly detailed and quite magnificent headpiece!
My look all starts with the Alex mesh head from Logo with the Alexa skin in honey tone from Sinful Curves Skins. I’ve added eye shadow from the Arcane Liner set from Veechi, which is available now at N21 and a little bit of lip gloss from the Fresh Lip Tints from [Pink Fuel]!. As always I’m wearing the Lara mesh body from Maitreya and the Bento Hands from Vista Animations.
The inspiration for this post was from Mr. Green Adder, from IMMERSIV, who created a few (and incredible) poses for me to show off this breath taking Samba Dancer outfit!!
I found this area all decorated for Mardi Gras at Bourbon Street West in Zurich City!
