Every Picture Tells a Story, Don’t it!

Every Picture Tells a Story, Don't it!

That’s one of the things I love about photography, every picture tells a story! I’ve always been interested in photography, and have had many cameras over the years. I started with one of those old ones that needed a flash cube and took a 110 film. I have no idea what the 110 stood for, I only knew that there was a 126 film, too! I then went to a 35 mm that was bare bones. I had to focus and get the lighting set right manually, it wasn’t easy, believe me! Then an auto focus 35 mm camera, and then a digital point and shoot camera. I did, eventually splurge on a Nikon D50 when they first came out, but I found a point and shoot was a lot more versatile. Since I’ve been in SL, I have to admit that I take very few pictures in real life. I use my smart phone if I need to share a picture of something with someone, but to take a picture, just for the sake of taking a picture, I just haven’t done it in a long time! I will admit, too, that there are very few pictures of me, anywhere! I always manage to evade the photographer, at least most of the time! I do have pictures of me throughout life, marking the milestones. The first day of school, the birthdays year after year, my first car, me and my horse, me and my cow, me and my….oh you get the idea! But, as time has passed, I’ve rarely had anything new or unique in my life to warrant a picture to commemorate the occasion! My birthdays still come and go, but I don’t really want to be reminded how many of them I’ve had. So, as time goes on, I take pictures of Liz constantly, pretty much every day, but she’s always ready for the camera! I spend countless hours choosing hair, make up, clothing, accessories, and shoes, all in preparation for being in front of the camera! In the words of Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard, “All right, Mr. DeMille, I’m ready for my closeup.”

I do want to make the statement that I am featuring the lovely decor in this photograph! Don’t look at me, or my butt, which I’m trying to cover, but failing miserably at! I was told I wouldn’t be in the shot, but here I am, caught in this awkward position! How embarrassing!

I’m completely surrounded by home decor items from Raindale, and they’re all beautiful! I love decorating in Second Life, and there’s a bazillion items out there to make your SL home just like real life! But, one of my go-to designers is Keira Raindale of Raindale! The wide variety of items, all unique and low prim, makes it a no-brainer when choosing what to place in your home and garden. The newest release is the Marwood Shed and the Woodhurst Dining Set. Both are at Spoonful of Sugar, an event which raises money for MSF/Doctors Without Borders, runs until April 1st, and there’s lots to see and do there! The shed is in the silent auction, and won’t be sold after the event, so it’s a one of a kind! The winning bidder will get two versions of the shed, one with lights and one without, and so pretty to host a social gathering out in the garden! The dining set is exclusive to the event, and with the generosity of Keira, 100% of the sales from both items goes towards MSF/Doctors Without Borders. Also at Spoonful of Sugar, with 50% of sales going to the charity, is the Basket of Apples. It’s can be used as decor or a pose prop with five poses, and the basket also dispenses a single apple to eat, on touch. I’m also using the carpet(HUD driven w/5 colours) and lantern(with particles) from the Sugarvale Gacha set, which is at the main store. The antique frame, stack of books, and candle holder are all from the Mauner Set, which is also available at the main store!

And now, as for me, I’m wearing the Layla Dress from AGATA mode! It’s available at the current round of Kustom 9, and I had the bright idea of going on the first day of the event! Yea, it was busy, and laggy, but I saw a few things that I just HAD to have, this dress was one of them! It comes in three solid colours and three prints, and the panties can be worn or not, your choice! I’m very glad I wore the panties today!! 😀

The Anime 05 hair is from Dura Hair.

The Peace & Love necklace is from Bamse.

As always, I’m wearing the Alex mesh head from Logo wearing the Alexa skin in honey tone from Sinful Curves Skins. Along with the Lara mesh body from Maitreya and the Vista Bento Hands from Vista Animations.

And the pose! Green Adder of IMMERSIV likes to see me in awkward positions, like getting caught in front of a camera while showing my undies!! Thank you, Green!♥
