Ok, I’m ready to get going on this post now! I’ve had my coffee, well several really, I mean who can have only one? I’ve mentioned it before how much I love coffee and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without it. I get up in the morning and when I take that first sip of coffee, I lean my head back, eyes closed, and whisper, ‘Oh heavenly coffee!’. I do, there’s nothing as good as that first sip in the morning, although close behind it is having a cookie with a cup of coffee for afternoon coffee time. You see, every day at 3 PM it’s coffee time around here. And there’s nothing tastier than taking an afternoon break with a home made chocolate chip cookie and a cup of coffee, with some cream. Not too much cream, I don’t want it white, just enough to taste creamy! The sweetness of the cookie perfectly compliments the coffee and this one little joy in life can literally make my day! I also believe that coffee tastes better after having been working outside. I mean I don’t need to be working to take a coffee break, but there’s times, like in the fall when the days are cooler and the fall work is needing to get done, a cup of coffee is simply divine! One thing I’ve never mentioned, though, is the bad coffee in the world. I’ve never ever had such bad coffee as when I was on the road trucking. It was easy to get a cup, the fuel island at just about every truck stop had coffee, so I’d run in and get a coffee, which was always free for drivers, and run back out and keep going. After I was back on the road and going I’d take a sip and it was at that moment that I realized that this cup of coffee tasted like peanut shells. Sometimes, it was burnt and sometimes just dish water, and most times it tasted like anything other than coffee, and believe me powdered creamer does not improve any cup of bad coffee. Thankfully, today I’ve got my Tim Horton’s coffee hot and tasty in my favourite mug, it doesn’t get better than this!
And now, on with the business of the day. The ‘Tali Knotted T-shirt’ is a new release from LEGAL INSANITY and it’s available at the current round of Tres Chic. Each design comes in four colours and there’s ten designs to choose from. Or just get the fatpack, you never know what statement you’ll want to make in the future. It’s fitted for the SLink, Maitreya(seen here), and Belleza mesh bodies. Also from LEGAL INSANITY is the ‘Ella Denim Shorts. They’re one of my favourite shorts this summer and you’ll find them at the LI main store.
I’m totally loving the hair from [BAD HAIR DAY]! This is Irusu, the newest release from BAD, there’s ten colour packs to choose from, it’s HUD driven with two layers to customize independently, and it comes with a mirror version if you want to live dangerously and part it on the other side! I’ve always been drawn to edgy men’s hair in Second Life, and not just the men who wear it…but for me too! 😀
The August round of Collabor88 has probably slowed down a bit, meaning easier access for everyone, and Le Poppycock is there with the incredible ‘Comfort Zone A & B’ sets of poses. Each set contains six poses, with prop, and includes a rezz version and also a version to wear, plus the poses free of the prop, if you prefer to use your own chair. The chair is texture change, via drop down menu, with six colours to choose from. These sets are going to a life saver when you’re needing a relaxed and expressive pose for the coming fall days. Autumn is all about comfort and sweaters!
As always, I’m wearing the ‘Luna’ skin in ‘peche’ tone from Avada on the ‘Lilo’ bento mesh head from Catwa along with the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya. I’ve added one of the 12 options from the ‘Satin Eyeshadow’ set from Buzzeri and available at Blush. I’m also wearing the ‘Tintable Buzzcut Hairbase’ from [KoKoLoReS].
The ‘Bite Me?’ backdrop is a creation from Matthew Miller of [BAD HAIR DAY] and is unfortunately not available at this time! Thanks so much, Matthew! ❤
