Sad Reflection

Sad Reflection

This is the day that I’m sure most people take a few minutes for sad reflection. I can’t believe it’s been 16 years since that terrible day. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing, as I’m sure most people can. It was a cool fall day, I’d gone for my daily 1 mile walk and enjoyed the clean crisp air. I’d made a pot of coffee for my mid morning break and it was then I decided to turn on the TV. Which was actually really weird, because I never watch morning TV. But, I did and couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I was disturbed and in utter disbelief as the events unfolded, I couldn’t look away and as it progressed I couldn’t comprehend it all. As the years have passed I still think about that day and how everyone woke up that morning, got ready for work and carried on like it was any other day, thankfully, not knowing what was to happen. Never forget! ♥ It’s also at this time of year that 14 years ago I was at the lowest point of my life, and struggling to find a reason to carry on. Needless to say, I did manage to get through it, it’s been a lot of work and some very tough times since, but I think I’ve got it together, now! Better late than never, I guess! 😀 If only I knew then what I know now, I could have maybe prevented it, but ultimately it was that point in my life that things started turning around. Everything happens for a reason, and in order for me to rise up and live again, I had to hit that dark and cold rock bottom. So, today is a day to remember, of loved ones lost, of the strength of the human spirit, and to live each day with love and acceptance, and to never waste even one minute.

I love how this turned out, I must say! I’m showing you the ‘Amal’ hair from [BAD HAIR DAY], and this is the one hair that I will never let get lost in my inventory! It’s jaw dropping gorgeous and incredibly versatile and very flattering to ‘muh face’! 😀 I’ll remind you that the colour palette from [BAD] is huge, and oh so gorgeous! I’ll never tire of this combination here. I love soft blues and purples, and all the other colour combinations there is. There’s ten colour packs to choose from, or the fatpack, and each set has 28 colours. On top of that, the hair has two layers to customize independently so there’s a huge amount of combinations possible! ‘Amal’ is available now at the [BAD] main store or on Market Place.

Take a minute to zoom in close to see the ‘Cloudy Day Necklace’ a bit better! It’s from !NFINITY and has matching earrings included. The necklace and right and left earrings are all HUD driven separately so you can mix and match, and with each piece having 12 options, it should work for anything you might want to wear it with. I’ve picked the stormy option, which was kind of fitting today!

As per usual, I’m wearing the ‘Luna’ skin in ‘meil’ tone from Avada on the ‘Lilo’ bento mesh head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya. You can only see a little bit of the ‘Dark Metallic Eyeshadow’ from Izzie’s, that I’ve added!

This gorgeous pose is ‘Sad Reflection’ from Del May. The variety of singles and couples poses are incredible. All of the poses are expressive, super natural looking, and unique, which should really kick your creativity into overdrive!

  1. Beautiful Post Liz, I’m happy you made it through Lovely, I think if we are honest, we have all had time where we thought we couldn’t carry on.
When we feel there’s nothing left, we find something, a tiny speck, to hang on to, and it brings us back.

    1. Thanks so much, Phen. ♥ I’m a different person now, than who I was before. I think that kind of thing changes a person, for the better in my case! I think it’s just part of the human psyche that drives us either one way or another, there’s so many tortured souls that can’t go on, and I truly feel for them. But, I know that once a person sees life in one way, it’s very hard to see it differently. I’m very very thankful that I’m here, and hope to be here for a lot more years to come. 😀
