To Make a House a Home

To Make a House a Home

Hold on to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave, wave is stringing us along

Just know you’re not alone
‘Cause I’m gonna make this place your home

Settle down, it’ll all be clear
Don’t pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble—it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found

Just know you’re not alone
‘Cause I’m gonna make this place your home

Ooo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo. Oo-oo-oo-oo [2x]
Aaa-aa-aa-aa-aa-aa-aa. Aa-aa-aa-aaaaaa [4x]

Settle down, it’ll all be clear
Don’t pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble—it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found

Just know you’re not alone
‘Cause I’m gonna make this place your home

Home ~Phillip Phillips~

I really don’t care what type of house anyone lives in…what matters is it’s comfort as a home. I’m not impressed with expensive or fancy, it’s not about the price of the home or the area it’s in, whether it has the latest decor trends or is decorated circa 1975….it’s all about what the occupant has done to make it a home. It’s how welcoming and comfortable the home feels! I have a friend in real life who works very hard to make her home comfortable to anyone who visits. It’s not a big expensive house and there’s no designer anything inside, but when I visit for a cup of coffee I feel like I’m enveloped in a big warm hug. She opens her home to anyone and would make a total stranger feel as welcome as her loved ones, and it shows. It’s the peaceful energy she has created that allows us to sip cup after cup of strong tasty coffee while talking about anything from world politics to our our undying love of nature. There’s very few visits we don’t shed tears, as we delve deep into ourselves, and after the last sip of coffee is gone I leave with a refreshed spirit and a calmness that remains. It’s not the house that’s done that….it’s her and the love she has put into filling it with love. I live in a small cozy home, just me and my little fuzzy puppy. In the autumn I like to fix it up for the coming winter, making it all cozy with the soft scent of my favourite candles burning and my chair, blanket, and kindle all ready for me to snuggle in for the long cold winter. So no matter where you live or what your house is…..work to make it a home, all it takes is a little bit of love!

Ok……as you can see, there’s no sexy outfits here, I’m not baring any skin or looking sexy. In fact, I’m sitting on the front step of this incredible build from Galland Homes with my ever present mug of coffee and enjoying the early morning sun on the other side of this house. It has everything it needs for you to make it your home! You’re looking at the upper part of just a portion of ‘Laurel Ridge’, the newest release which is available now at FaMESHed. I’ve always loved the look of a log house, and this does not disappoint. From it’s two story wall of windows on the one side and the cozy fireplace in a slightly sunken living area with a balcony above, there’s enough room for a large family with all kinds of potential to make it a home. The main floor consists of a great room, kitchen/dining area, powder room, and master suite while the 2nd floor is two bedrooms with a gorgeous are overlooking the great room. It has a footprint of 31X25m and a land impact of 232 and comes in a rezz box for easy moving to get it in just the right place. You can visit the Galland Homes Facebook page.
