Musick has Charms to sooth a savage Breast,
To soften Rocks, or bend a knotted Oak.
I’ve read, that things inanimate have mov’d,
And, as with living Souls, have been inform’d,
The Mourning Bride, Act 1 Sc 1. ~William Congreve~
Just a note here…..this quote is often misquoted as using the word ‘beast’ instead of ‘breast’, and the word ‘breast’ is not used in any female physical anatomy kind of way! I thought I’d clarify that! 😀 I know I’m talking about music again, but like I’ve said before, it’s a Canadian winter and there’s not a lot going on, so listening to music is what I do! So, last night I was standing at home(in SL of course), and didn’t much feel like blogging or anything, so while wondering what to do with my evening I happened upon an ad on Facebook for a live concert at a venue in Second Life. Since I hadn’t been to anything like that in a long time I thought I’d give it a shot. I got there early so I could get a good spot to stand or dance, whatever moved me to do at the time, and waited for it to begin. I had forgotten how good virtual live music can be! I spent an hour at the Seaside Lounge taking in the sounds of Alex Mays. His Dad joined him for this set and it was an entertaining and wholly enjoyable hour of music ranging from rock, blues, and country with some festive songs thrown in! Since I love pretty much all kinds of music I loved each and every song! Who doesn’t love a little bit of classic Merle Haggard? The hour flew by so fast I was disappointed to see it end, but before I left I joined his group to stay informed of future concerts and gave him and the venue a little tip to show my appreciation! So, if you find yourself with an evening with no plans, I highly recommend taking in some live music, I can personally attest that it surely does sooth the savage breast! 😀
I’m out in the open field in my favourite spot on the Hazardous sim here! I’m looking out at the far horizon atop a high cliff and enjoying the music stream there. It really is one of my all time favourite places in Second Life.
I’m wearing the ‘Chyna Slit Dress’ from LEGAL INSANITY and looking very sexy I might add. This dress isn’t as revealing as it first appears, so if you’re worried about showing too much skin, fear not, it shows a lot of leg with everything else well covered! It’s exclusively for the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya and available now at the Tres Chic event. It comes in 12 colours or in a fatpack, which takes away that impossible decision of what colour to get! Tres Chic runs until January 5.
The F516 hair from tram is one of my favourites.
They’re not really visible, but I thought I’d mention I’m wearing the ‘Galla Heels’ from Glamistry here! The dress is the perfect length to really showcase an incredible pair of heels!
My look all begins with the ‘Raine’ skin in ‘miel’ tone from Avada on the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body Maitreya. I’ve added one of the selections from the ‘Dark Metallic Eye Shadow’ set from Izzie’s.
