It’s Just Routine

It's Just Routine

I do things my way, and I don’t mean that in a weird arrogant way, I just mean that I have certain ways of doing things. Everyone does, I put my pants on starting with the right leg and others may do the left first, it’s just human. So, when it comes to bathroom habits, everyone is different, which has always made the sharing of a bathroom a tricky thing. Personally, I think it’s good to have to share, it forces people to get along and have patience and acceptance! I know, I know…..you’re saying, ‘how can anyone endure the trials of sharing the bathroom with someone who constantly leaves ‘his’ wet towels on the floor and the seat up’! Well, I’m not saying it’s easy, but you know, he could say ‘how come you always leave the seat down’ and ‘why is your make up spread all over the vanity all the time’. When sharing a bathroom, you have to allow the other person a little bit of room to live, we all have quirks and habits that could drive a person crazy! Except me, I’m quirk and habit free, it’s just too bad no one lives with me to experience it!

So, I’m standing at the sink here, just doing my before bed routine. I start with tooth brushing then face and hand washing, then hair brushing……and a quick tooth flossing. I don’t look too long in the mirror before bed, I don’t want to bring on nightmares, you know. 😀 In Second Life it’s getting easier and easier to replicate real life, with all the little things designers create to make our SL as life like as possible. Galland Homes has released the ‘Savannah Bath Vanity and Light Fixture’ exclusive to the January round of the ULTRA Event. The 100% mesh vanity(8LI) features dual copper sinks with working faucets(on touch), PG animations, and a four light copper light fixture(3LI). It’s sleek design can work with lots of different styles and is fully functional to make your virtual bathroom routine just a little bit easier. ULTRA runs until February 10.

As you can see, living alone has made me a little bit lazy when it comes to picking up after myself. I have a ton of stuff strewn around that really should be taken care of. I’ll start with the mirrors, these are from the ‘Southern Elegant Bathroom Set’ from a previous round of Deco(c)rate from [Merak].

I did a bit of shopping at Dutchie Furniture before putting this scene together! I splurged(big time) on the ‘Iron Cast Bain de Bateau’, which is a bath tub in layman’s terms, and it’s got all the bells and whistles any good bath tub should have. Also from Dutchie is the towel on the floor, hanging robe, tissue box, scale, and the wicker laundry basket/towel. They have a nice selection of bathroom clutter, if you’re in the market.

The ‘nail polish clutter’ is from a gacha from Tres Blah, as is the ‘Slumber Party Tank & Shorts’ that I’m wearing to bed.

The dress, bra, and panties all over the floor are from the ‘Z-tease’ gacha set from [zerkalo] and available now at The Epiphany.

The ‘Long Narrow Frames, monochrome’ are from Llorisen.

The ‘Dress Form’ is from a gacha set from Apple Fall.

The ‘Accent Gilt Chair’ is from Nutmeg.

The ‘Farm Living Rug’ is from the ‘Farm Living Gacha aset’ from Apt B.

The rest of my look is the ‘My Hair-Suzy’ from [monso], and the ‘Raine’ skin in ‘miel’ tone from Avada. It all starts with the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa, the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya, and the Deluxe set of mesh feet from SLink.

  1. Very nice scene there, Liz! In real life what I do like for bathrooms is warm flooring. The best I’ve come across is cork tiling which is varnished and sealed against the damp. Carpets you can’t really get away with although I would if I could!

    1. Yea……I’m with you, Moz on cold floors! The joy of SL is the high humidity doesn’t seem to bother the carpets or art work, luckily! A carpet in the bathroom is kind of gross……a mat that can be washed regularly is ok, but carpet is just wrong! 😀
