Larger Than Life

Larger Than Life

I’ve been hearing much discussion about the picture I’m posing with here! It’s part of my exhibit at Club LA Gallery and is now larger than life! This pic, which is of my butt of course, is the most faved photo on my flickr stream and the one everyone says, ‘Oh I love that one!’. Yea, it’s the men who say this the most! 😛 So, since I have the chance to pose with it, I wanted to point out that I do have a face, and I think a fairly pretty one. No picture of my face has proven to be as popular as the one of my butt, but I can live with that. Ultimately, I don’t want to be only a pretty face or great butt, I want to be known for being completely genuine, having a kind and caring heart, and a wicked sense of humour!

I want to add that this is all tongue -in-cheek, I laugh about this as much as anyone!

OK, so the official opening for my exhibit at Club LA Gallery was on the weekend and I’d like to thank Wintergeist, owner and curator of the gallery, for all she has done to make this experience as easy as possible, as I delved into the Second Life art scene. Since I’m completely new to this kind of thing I was terribly nervous about the big opening day, but it was great to see fiends I don’t normally see in-world and meet some new ones who I look forward to getting to know more. Since I’m a blogger first, the one thing I did worry about is what to wear! And although I coordinate outfits almost everyday, deciding on one for this occasion was hugely stressful. There are a few stores that are thanking me today for making their weekend sales better than the last 5 Black Friday sales combined! You know who you are. 😀 The gallery consists of 3 exhibits that change every 2 months, all at varying times. Mine is the newest and can be seen on the main floor, it’s the one with the tree, and a shot of my butt, larger than life!

I want to thank Emms Sygall of [QE] Designs for the totally incredible frames she has created and when I first saw them I knew that’s exactly what I wanted to frame my pictures. The ‘Repurposed Barnwood Frames’ have the most incredibly realistic textures, in 8 wood grains and 3 metals, via drop down menu. They can be modified in whatever way you need and add your own picture. Please, stop in at the gallery and make note to check them out!

And for the outfit? Well, I decided on the ‘Moto Jacket Dress’, in plum, from Ison. It’s fitted for the Lara, Freay, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies and has auto alpha. Love this one!

The ‘G1020’ hair is from tram.

My simply stated ‘Just Love’ tattoo is from Carol G Tattoo Wear.

The ‘Infinity’ necklace is from Cae and is available at the February round of FaMESHed.

My look starts with the ‘Raine’ skin in ‘miel’ tone from Avada on the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.

I’m using a pose from the ‘Neon Lights’ set of pose props from Le Poppycock. I’m just using the pose here.
