It’s a Good Life If You Don’t Weaken

It's a Good Life If You Don't Weaken

When the colour of the night
And all the smoke for one life
Gives way to shaky movements,
Improvisational skills,
A forest of whispering speakers
Let’s swear that we will
Get with the times,
In a current health to stay
Let’s get friendship right
Get life day-to-day
In the forget-yer-skates dream
Full of countervailing woes
In diverse-as-ever scenes
Proceeding on a need-to-know
In a face so full of meaning
As to almost make it glow

O’ for a good life, we just might have to weaken

And find somewhere to go
Go somewhere we’re needed
Find somewhere to grow
Grow somewhere were needed.

When the colour of the night
And all the smoke for one life
Gives way to shaky movements,
Improvisational skills,
A forest of whispering speakers
Let’s swear that we will
Get with the times,
In a current health to stay
Let’s get friendship right
Get life day-to-day
In the forget-yer-skates dream
Full of countervailing woes
In diverse-as-ever scenes
Proceeding on a need-to-know
In a face so full of meaning
As to almost make it glow

O’ for a good life, we just might have to weaken

And find somewhere to go
Go somewhere we’re needed
Find somewhere to grow
Grow somewhere we’re needed
Find somewhere to go
Let’s go somewhere we’re needed
Find somewhere to grow
We grow where we are needed.

It’s a Good Life If You Don’t Weaken‘ ~The Tragically Hip~

A haunting song from ‘The Hip’, with Gord Downie gone it makes it sad to watch this video. His lyrics are a perfect blend of words and phrases that not only say something, but can instill emotion in a person. I was going to pick out a line that speaks to me, but when reading the lyrics over I realized that every line is perfect and to select one would be an injustice to the song, it’s the message in it’s entirety…not just in one line. I think the song and photo are well suited for each other, both thoughtful with a bit of melancholy, but ultimately hopeful. I find the title thought provoking, and I’ve decided that a person isn’t one or the other, there has to be a combination of the two for balance. I’ve always considered myself weak because I couldn’t endure things that happened in life like others may have been able to. But, having made it through rough times I look back and see how strong I really was. Like Bob Marley said, “You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.”!

I’m wearing the ‘Payton Gown’, sans scarf, from *Just BECAUSE* here. The colours choices are amazing and with the option to wear the scarf or not, it makes it a little more versatile, though both versions are incredible. It’s fitted for the SLink, Maitreya, and Belleza(Isis/Freya) mesh bodies.

The ‘G1020’ hair is from tram.

As per usual I’m wearing the ‘Maddie’ skin in ‘honey’ tone from The Skinnery on the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.

I’m at the gorgeous Isle of May for this photo.
