What a Beautiful Mess!

A virtual girl's guide to Second Life fashion!

Come on, oh my star is fading
And I swerve out of control
If I, if I’d only waited
I’d not be stuck here in this hole

Come here, oh my star is fading
And I swerve out of control
And I swear I waited and waited
I’ve got to get out of this hole

But time is on your side
It’s on your side now
Not pushing you down and all around
It’s no cause for concern

Come on, oh my star is fading
And I see no chance of release
And I know I’m dead on the surface
But I am screaming underneath

And time is on your side
It’s on your side now
Not pushing you down and all around
Oh, it’s no cause for concern

Stuck on the end of this ball and chain
And I’m on my way back down again
Stood on a bridge, tied to a noose
Sick to the stomach
You can say what you mean
But it won’t change a thing
I’m sick of the secrets

Stood on the edge
Tied to a noose
And you came along
And you cut me loose

You came along
And you cut me loose
You came along
And you cut me loose

I wish I had lots of fun and interesting things to talk about, but……I don’t! Nope…nothing going on, just a lot of real life, where the people aren’t dressed quite as oddly and I haven’t seen a vampire in…well…..ever! That’s one way real life and Second Life differ, there’s also the fact that it takes me what feels like forever to do a 55 KM drive, whereas in SL it’s just a quick TP away. Although in real life I always get to my destination whether it’s full or not, none of that floating in the air waiting for someone to leave! With my known troubles with walking in Second Life I can say I do a bit better in real life. I’ve not fallen off a dock or bridge lately like I do routinely in SL, and neither have I fallen off any stairs. I guess in real life I’d fall down them, not off them. It’s a good thing virtual Liz doesn’t break, because I do know that ‘flesh and blood’ Liz does! I wish real life had the radar feature like SL does, I’d enter an area and know immediately who’s there, in real life I turn down the frozen aisle at the grocery store and run into my best friend from grade 6, and then have to smile and pretend I’m happy to see them even though I haven’t seen them since grade 6. If I’d had radar, I’d just have driven through the parking lot and found a different grocery store to shop at. Yea…I’m an introvert! šŸ˜€

I’m sitting quietly in the atelier that’s upstairs in the house at Isle of May. Just hang a right at the top of the stairs and you’re there. It’s not a big atelier, but it holds all an aspiring artist needs to do some serious artistic work or soul searching, whatever you feel like.

I’m wearing the ‘G0718’ hair from tram. The cute little lopsided buns are adorable.

My outfit consists of the ‘Juliet’ top from Scandalize along with the ‘Skylar Denim Shorts’ from /erratic/.

The ‘Maddie’ skin in ‘honey’ tone, from The Skinnery, is my skin of choice on the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.
