Summer Wine

Summer Wine

Strawberries cherries and an angel’s kiss in spring
My summer wine is really made from all these things

I walked in town on silver spurs that jingled to
A song that I had only sang to just a few
She saw my silver spurs and said lets pass some time
And I will give to you summer wine
Ohh-oh-oh summer wine

Strawberries cherries and an angel’s kiss in spring
My summer wine is really made from all these things
Take off your silver spurs and help me pass the time
And I will give to you summer wine
Ohhh-oh summer wine

My eyes grew heavy and my lips they could not speak
I tried to get up but I couldn’t find my feet
She reassured me with an unfamiliar line
And then she gave to me more summer wine
Mmm-mm summer wine

Strawberries cherries and an angel’s kiss in spring
My summer wine is really made from all these things
Take off your silver spurs and help me pass the time
And I will give to you summer wine
Mmm-mm summer wine

When I woke up the sun was shining in my eyes
My silver spurs were gone my head felt twice its size
She took my silver spurs a dollar and a dime
And left me cravin’ for more summer wine
Ohh-oh-oh summer wine

Strawberries cherries and an angel’s kiss in spring
My summer wine is really made from all these things
Take off your silver spurs and help me pass the time
And I will give to you summer wine
Mmm-mm summer wine

Summer Wine‘ ~Lana Del Rey~

When I prepare to take a picture and I work with angles and I tend to see a pose in just a couple different angles that I like, generally it’s the same old angle to create the same old picture. It comes down to perspective, and it’s something I try to keep an open mind about when I work on photographs. Vrir and I spent quite awhile in this pose, and I’m sure he has a huge dent in his back from that heel jabbing him, but he didn’t complain, well if he did it wasn’t loud enough for me to hear! 😀 Anyway, we were in this pose and I took a bunch of pictures from my usual angles, trying to focus on the shoes as much as possible, and I had one that I could live with. When we’d both gotten our pictures we shared them to see what each other was seeing, and generally they weren’t that different, but as an afterthought he shows me a different angle he saw, and when I open the gyazo I think to myself, ‘Damn…why didn’t I think of that’! I took one shot of that angle then dropped my graphics and called it ‘done’! At this point you’re probably wondering what the eff I’m talking about, well here’s my thinking. When I cropped and worked on the shots I realized that the one I liked best is the angle that Vrir suggested. At first I thought I wouldn’t use it, because I’d feel like I stole his idea ……..and I don’t want to do that. Then I thought it doesn’t make me as creative because I didn’t think of it, and I’d feel like I cheated. But then…..while walking the dog tonight, it went through my mind that, as with anything in life, the trick to understanding and learning is to see things from a different perspective, with an open mind! I repeat…an open mind!! If we continue to see things with blinders on what are we going to learn? The ability to see things from another person’s perspective is what we need to form opinions and make an informed decision on any given topic. Without the open mind people just say the same things over and over, because that’s all they know. So, yes…this picture is the view Vrir saw and I didn’t…..did I steal his idea? Maybe! Am I less creative? Possibly! Did I learn a new way of seeing a scene and that moving the camera in ways that’s new to me and even uncomfortable, is where the art is hidden? I did….and every time I learn something new…..the day isn’t wasted. Thanks Vrir, for sharing your keen eye for angles with me! ♥♥♥

So, this shot is all about the shoes…….they’re the ‘Katya’ heels from **UTOPIA@DESIGN** and available now at the Fetish Fair. The super high stilettos and the unexpected zipper on the back of the heel are super sexy and really define the legs. They’re rigged for the SLink, Belleza, and Maitreya mesh high feet and the HUD is loaded with 12 preset colour combinations plus everything you need to customize them to your liking, plus……..there’s 5 glossiness options to make them super shiny or a little less so. You might be wondering what I’m wearing with them…..but that’s something only Vrir and I know, and we’re not telling. 🙂

The pose is ‘Hell on Heels’ from Infiniti.
