Superman’s Song

Superman's Song

Tarzan
Wasn’t a ladies’ man
He’d just come along and scoop ’em up under his arm like that
Quick as a cat
In the jungle

But Clark Kent
Now there was a real gent
He would not be caught sittin’ around in no junglescape,
Dumb as an ape
Doing nothing

Superman never made any money
For saving the world from Solomon Grundy
And sometimes I despair the world will never see another man like him

Hey Bob,
Supe had a straight job
Even though he could have smashed through any bank in the United States,
Well he had the strength,
But he would not

Folks said
His family were all dead
Planet crumbled but Superman, he forced himself to carry on,
Forget Krypton,
And keep going

Superman never made any money
For saving the world from Solomon Grundy
And sometimes I despair the world will never see another man like him

Tarzan was king of the jungle and Lord over all the apes
But he could hardly string together four words “I Tarzan, You Jane”

Sometimes when
Supe was stopping crimes
I’ll bet that he was tempted to just quit and turn his back on man
Join Tarzan
In the forest

But he
Stayed in the city,
And kept on changing clothes in dirty old phone booths ’til his work was through
And nothing to do
But go on home

Superman never made any money
For saving the world from Solomon Grundy
And sometimes I despair the world will never see another man like him

And sometimes I despair the world will never see another man like him

Superman’s Song‘ ~Crash Test Dummies~

I’m short of words today, so all you’re going to get out of me is a song, by the Canadian band ‘Crash Test Dummies’. If you never click on the link of the songs I share, I suggest you click on this one, it’s worth a listen.

I have to admit to being completely in love with shoes from **UTOPIA@DESIGN**, it’s all I’ve been wearing for quite some time, and here are a pair of my favourites. These are ‘Odette’ and I will confess that there are times that the only thing I wear are these shoes. The HUD has 12 preset colour combinations, plus 6 areas to customize with 10 colours, plus metals and there’s 5 levels of glossiness. They’re fitted for the Maitreya(seen here), SLink, and Belleza mesh feet and I’m proof that they shape the leg perfectly and make it look like I have legs right up to there!

I made a quick trip to the August round of Shiny Shabby and it’s a good thing it was quick, because it didn’t take me long to bog down from the lag, it was like Boxing Day shopping in August. I grabbed what I went for, which is the newest release from Nutmeg, the ‘Distressed Grand Piano’ and accompanying accessories, which can all be purchased in a fatpack. The bench, music sheets on the floor and standing, along with the vintage metronome along with the piano with 4 different colours of drape with it all make a gorgeous setting for a picture as the centerpiece of a scene or a backdrop to show off some shoes. Shiny Shabby runs until the end of the month.

I’ve added the ‘Sepia Peonies’ from NOMAD to the scene for a little bit of floral decor in gorgeous muted tones.

The pose is from the ‘Frequency’ set of poses from Le Poppycock.
