Wasteland, Baby!

Wasteland, Baby!

All the fear and fire of the end of the world
Happens each time a boy falls in love with a girl
Happens great, happens sweet
Happily, I’m unfazed here, too

Wasteland, baby
I’m in love, I’m in love with you

All the things yet to come are the things that have passed
Like the holding of hands, like the breaking of glass
Like the bonfire that burns
That all words in the fight fell to

Wasteland, baby
I’m in love, I’m in love with you

And I love too, that love soon might end
Be known in its aching
Shown in the shaking
Lately of my wasteland, baby
Be still, my indelible friend, you are unbreaking
Though quaking, though crazy
That’s just wasteland, baby

And that day that we’ll watch the death of the sun
To the cloud and the cold and those jeans you have on
And you’ll gaze unafraid as they sob from the city roofs

Wasteland, baby
I’m in love, I’m in love with you

And I love too, that love soon might end
Be known in its aching
Shown in the shaking
Lately of my wasteland, baby
Be still, my indelible friend, you are unbreaking
Though quaking, though crazy
That’s wasteland, baby

When the stench of the sea and the absence of green
Are the death of all things that are seen and unseen
Are an end but the start of all things that are left to do

Wasteland, baby
I’m in love, I’m in love with you

(That’s it)

Wasteland, Baby!‘ ~Hozier~

I’m so excited……really, I am! Hozier released a new album a few days ago and I’ve been dying to share a song with you. I go through a very scientific process of choosing a song to match my picture and it’s not until today that I feel this works. I use the term ‘scientific’ very loosely here because all I really do is listen to random songs and see where YouTube takes me……..with the first requirement of a song being appropriate is that I like it. Next, it has to have the right mood and then the lyrics have to fit into the message I think the picture suggests. So, maybe ‘scientific’ isn’t really the right word to describe it. 😀 There are times the song is already a favourite of mine, Eddie Vedder songs are always ones I know……and sometimes people share songs that they like with me, introducing me to new music that I’d never have found on my own. I’m always looking for new music to enjoy……regardless of it’s genre, I can find something I like in just about all music. But today….it’s Hozier……..listen and feel……and enjoy.

It’s that time of year again…….yes…..the Whore Couture Fair is open for business and Elle Boutique has a new and exclusive release. The ‘Lolita Belly Piercing’ is a cute little accent that’s as versatile as a belly piercing can be. You can be an angel or a devil…..depending on if you’re feeling naughty or nice, with an easy on/off toggle to choose between 4 versions. The HUD’s loaded with 8 metal and 14 gemstone textures and it’s rigged for the SLink, Belleza, and Maitreya mesh bodies with a huge variety of positions to match your skin, but please……try a DEMO before purchasing to make sure. Also, the gemstone has an on/off toggle for full bright and there’s 5 levels of shine with SL materials when advanced lighting is enabled. As you can see here I’m an angel, how could I be anything else? 😛 Also…..a new feature with the WCF this year is the designers have a second exclusive item that will be available for sale on March 15, so while you’re there check out what’s coming and make sure to stop back in to pick that up too! The Whore Couture Fair runs until March 31.

The cute little lingerie set is ‘Cecilia’, in plum, from /erratic/.

My look all starts with the ‘Maddie’ skin in ‘honey’ tone from The Skinnery on the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.

The pose is from the F.3 set of poses from IntoXx.
