It Takes a Lot To Know a Man

It Takes a Lot to Know a Man

It takes a lot to know a man
It takes a lot to understand
The warrior, the sage
The little boy enraged

It takes a lot to know a woman
A lot to understand what’s humming
The honeybee, the sting
The little girl with wings

It takes a lot to give, to ask for help
To be yourself, to know and love what you live with
It takes a lot to breathe, to touch, to feel
The slow reveal of what another body needs

It takes a lot to know a man
A lot to know, to understand
The father and the son
The hunter and the gun

It takes a lot know a woman
A lot to comprehend what’s coming
The mother and the child
The muse and the beguiled

It takes a lot to give, to ask for help
To be yourself, to know and love what you live with
It takes a lot to breathe, to touch, to feel
The slow reveal of what another body needs

It Takes a Lot To Know a Man‘ ~Damien Rice~

Vrir and I spending some time together, and it wasn’t a very good day for me, nothing felt right and to even attempt a picture was doing nothing but stressing me out. So, Vrir…being his wonderful and patient self, showed me a couple shots that he took, trying to help me become calm and inspired. But, nothing really worked, and I was left frustrated and then panicked by the thought of it never working for me again. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about myself is that, if there’s a chance for me to over react and get caught up in all kinds of negative thoughts……that’s what I do. I have to then do what I need to to calm down and let it go, which I managed to do. But, since I didn’t have any pictures of this pose Vrir was nice enough to let me edit one of his shots. Thank you so much, Vrir. ♥♥♥ I don’t think this picture captures any of the negative emotions I was having while this was being taken, and Vrir looks happy, which is great to see. I, on the other hand, have the far off gaze that makes me seem lost in thought. I may be lost in thought, but holding Vrir makes it all perfect.

The ‘Body on Me’ couples pose is from CKEY Poses and available now at the Pose Fair. The incredible bento poses are natural and the woman’s hands add a sense of possessiveness, I think, which is fine by me! The pose balls are modify for easy editing, but we didn’t need to with our shapes being quite compatible. The Pose Fair runs until May 25.
