Blackbird

Blackbird

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free

Black bird fly, black bird fly
Into the light of the dark black night

Black bird fly, black bird fly
Into the light of the dark black night

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Blackbird‘ ~Emma Stevens cover of The Beatles~

There’s many versions of this song, including one from Eddie Vedder…and when have I ever passed up a chance to use one of his videos? But, I have this time….this is a gorgeous acoustic version by Emma Stevens and what makes it different is it’s sung in the indigenous language of Mi’kmaq. The language has a beautiful sound to them and the song is just as meaningful, regardless of what language is used to sing it. Her voice is sweet and pure and this video warranted a shout out from Paul McCartney himself at one of his concerts. If you show more of the description you’ll find the words to the song translated to Mi’kmaq, also.

You can only see the bodice of this cute little dress from Tres Blah, but it has a nice ruffle on the bottom with the hem coming to mid thigh on me. The ‘Eden Dress’ has perfect texturing and it comes in a wide range of colours, and what I love about it is the built in panties that are HUD driven with 7 colours and an on/off toggle. It’s fitted for the major mesh bodies, including Legacy, and it’s available now at FaMESHed.

The ‘Infinity’ necklace is from Cae. The 2 hearts are both HUD driven to add initials, so you know mine has an ‘L’ and a ‘V’! 😀

The ‘G1224’ hair is from tram.

My look starts with the ‘Maddie’ skin in ‘honey’ tone from The Skinnery on the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.

The pose is from the ‘The Shade in the Garden’ set of poses from The Owl.

I’m at Whimberly for this picture.
