When I’m Gone

When I'm Gone

There’s no place in this world where I’ll belong when I’m gone
And I won’t know the right from the wrong when I’m gone
And you won’t find me singin’ on this song when I’m gone
So I guess I’ll have to do it while I’m here

And I won’t feel the flowing of the time when I’m gone
All the pleasures of love will not be mine when I’m gone
My pen won’t pour a lyric line when I’m gone
So I guess I’ll have to do it while I’m here

And I won’t breathe the bracing air when I’m gone
And I can’t even worry ’bout my cares when I’m gone
Won’t be asked to do my share when I’m gone
So I guess I’ll have to do it while I’m here

And I won’t be running from the rain when I’m gone
And I can’t even suffer from the pain when I’m gone
Can’t say who’s to praise and who’s to blame when I’m gone
So I guess I’ll have to do it while I’m here

Won’t see the golden of the sun when I’m gone
And the evenings and the mornings will be one when I’m gone
Can’t be singing louder than the guns when I’m gone
So I guess I’ll have to do it while I’m here

All my days won’t be dances of delight when I’m gone
And the sands will be shifting from my sight when I’m gone
Can’t add my name into the fight when I’m gone
So I guess I’ll have to do it while I’m here

And I won’t be laughing at the lies when I’m gone
And I can’t question how or when or why when I’m gone
Can’t live proud enough to die when I’m gone
So I guess I’ll have to do it while I’m here

When I’m Gone‘ ~Phil Ochs~

I love Phil Ochs’ voice, he sang so effortlessly and his song writing was incredible, albeit ultra political. But, he was in his prime during those unsettled times of the US with the Vietnam war and the civil rights movement. His songs were about what was going on around him, and so he brought light to a lot of topics that weren’t going to appeal to everyone. His story is sad, he suffered from mental illness and in the end that’s what claimed his life. He’s been gone for many many years now….but his voice and his words live on……..and I’m sure there’s still people like me who like to put one of his CD’s on and listen to that sweet voice tell his stories.

The song is sad, but it’s one of those times that my song choice doesn’t reflect my mood……..I’m doing ok. And I’m here to tell you about a couple things going on in this picture. I’m using a pose from the ‘Moments V2’ set of poses from CKEY Poses. The set consists of 5 bento poses, all of them unique and natural, and including the stool for easy posing. This set’s available at the June round of UniK, which runs until June 28.

The tattoo I’m wearing is the ‘Script Tattoo’ from Wild Roots, and it’s pretty script, roses and butterflies are arranged perfectly on the back, chest, belly, and hips. It’s feminine without being too sweet, and for me it has a melancholy feel to it. It’s compatible with just about any body you could wear, except for the Legacy body, at this time.

This is the back view of the newest hair from tram! The ‘Io528’ hair is a cute style that frames the face perfectly and has a little bit of whimsy in it. It’s available now at Collabor88.

The ‘Nicki’ Panties’ are from *Just BECAUSE*.

My whole look always starts with the ‘Maddie’ skin tone in ‘honey’ on the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.
