Someone You Loved

Someone You Loved

I’m going under and this time I fear there’s no one to save me
This all or nothing really got a way of driving me crazy

I need somebody to heal
Somebody to know
Somebody to have
Somebody to hold
It’s easy to say
But it’s never the same
I guess I kinda liked the way you numbed all the pain

Now the day bleeds
Into nightfall
And you’re not here
To get me through it all
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved

I’m going under and this time I fear there’s no one to turn to
This all or nothing way of loving got me sleeping without you

Now, I need somebody to know
Somebody to heal
Somebody to have
Just to know how it feels
It’s easy to say but it’s never the same
I guess I kinda liked the way you helped me escape

Now the day bleeds
Into nightfall
And you’re not here
To get me through it all
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved

And I tend to close my eyes when it hurts sometimes
I fall into your arms
I’ll be safe in your sound til I come back around

For now the day bleeds
Into nightfall
And you’re not here
To get me through it all
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved

But now the day bleeds
Into nightfall
And you’re not here
To get me through it all
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved

I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved

Someone You Loved‘ ~Lewis Capaldi~

I’m loving this song…….I’d not heard it until Jack Slade played it at one of his in-world shows and I immediately fell in love with it. I’m not a big fan of Lewis Capaldi’s voice, but the song’s incredible. It’s not that a singer has to have a perfect voice for me to like it, hell……I love Bob Dylan…and in the words of my sister, ‘He’s not even trying!’. So, I’m not sure I would ‘ve liked the song as much as I do if I’d not heard Jack sing it first, not being able to get past my dislike of Lewis Capaldi’s voice. The song is brilliant, though………most songs I choose for a picture says how I’m feeling in some way, but it’s not the case with this one….it’s just a really great song.

I’m wearing the ‘Camilla’ hair from en Vogue and the ‘Faith Dress’ from TETRA. With my look starting with the ‘Maddie’ skin in ‘honey’ tone from The Skinnery on the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.
