Free Bird

When I’m struggling to find something to write about for a blog post I like to get on YouTube and watch a few vintage videos and listen to some great music that delivers me back to another time and place! I came across this video and as I watched it I felt like I was there, on that early July day in Oakland, California in 1977, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s on stage and they’re about to do ‘Free Bird’. There’s just something about this one that makes me long for something, I’m not even sure what, since I was pretty young when this was filmed! I probably didn’t even know what a ‘Lynyrd Skynyrd’ was back then, but at this point in my life, this video takes me back. It doesn’t make me want to go back to that time in my life, the last thing I’d ever want is to have to go through my teenage years and twenties again! Maybe it makes me wish my life was different at that time. This was filmed almost 40 years ago, hard to believe really! I don’t know how that many years can go by, but still feel like it was yesterday!

I’ll admit that I do struggle with a fantasy themed photo. I love all the fantasy items in Second Life, and I know that the term ‘fantasy’ can mean whatever I want to interpret it as, but I find it so hard! When I put these beautiful Bento Fairy Wings from lassitude & ennui on, I almost felt fairy-like in them. They have lovely detail and come in six gorgeous colours, each colour has gold and silver trim. The animation runs automatically, but you do need the bento compatible viewer, which Firestorm and the official Second Life viewer both are. These are available at the current round of We Love RolePlay, which runs until the end of the month.

You can only see the top of the cute M105 hair from .:CHEVEUX:., here, but it’s a short windswept style that looks so cute! It’s available at the current round of SaNaRaE, which runs until March 18.

The Colette Thong in ivory is from /erratic/.

I’m wearing the Alex mesh head from Logo with the Alexa skin in honey tone from Sinful Curves Skins, along with the Lara mesh body from Maitreya, and the mesh feet and Bento mesh hands from SLink.

This lovely pose is one of the three poses in the ‘falling’ pack from Serendipity.
