We’ll Make It Through

We'll Make It Through

Had our share of the pain
Of the clouds, and the rain
Lean on me
And I’ll lean on you
And together, we’ll get through
We always do
We always do

I know you’re scared ’cause
You can’t see the light
You toss and turn through the night
Holdin’ me
And I’m holdin’ you
And together, we’ll get through
We always do
We always do
We always do

Where do you go, when there’s no road to follow?
Faces look hollow, only strangers to you, now
Where do you turn, when this livin’ starts to burn through
Layers that you learned wrap around your heart somehow

I turn to you
I always do
I always do
I turn to you

I know you’re scared
Can’t see the light
Gotta believe it’s gonna be alright
Lean on me
And I’ll lean on you
And together, we’ll get through
We always do

We’ll Make It Through‘ Ray LaMontagne

In my neck of the woods it’s getting to be sweater weather, yes….it’s true! The days are getting noticeably shorter and even the hot days feel different, the cooler fall days are just around the corner. So I thought it was fitting to dig in the closet to find something to wear that will keep me a bit warmer. I came out with the ‘Cami Sweater’ and ‘Cenedra Jeans’ from *Just BECAUSE*. Although the sweater bares a shoulder, it’s still plenty warm and jeans are never a bad choice when just hanging out enjoying the ideal harvest weather. They both are fitted for the SLink(Hourglass/Physique), Belleza(Freya), Maitreya, and Legacy mesh bodies.

The ‘G1224’ hair is from tram.

My go to slip on shoes are the ‘Arianna Sneakers’ from Reign.

The pose is from the ‘Fyn’ set from Ana Poses, which is available now at The Warehouse Sale Event.

Another visit to Grauland and the salvage yard. Where there are all kinds of car parts available! 😀

Not Dark Yet

Not Dark Yet

Shadows are fallin’ and I’ve been here all day
It’s too hot to sleep and time is runnin’ away
Feel like my soul has turned into steel
I’ve still got the scars that the sun didn’t heal
There’s not even room enough to be anywhere
It’s not dark yet but it’s gettin’ there.

Well, my sense of humanity has gone down the drain
Behind every beautiful thing there’s been some kind of pain
She wrote me a letter and she wrote it so kind
She put down in writin’ what was in her mind
I just don’t see why I should even care
It’s not dark yet but it’s gettin’ there.

Well, I’ve been to London and I been to gay Paris
I’ve followed the river and I got to the sea
I’ve been down on the bottom of the world full of lies
I ain’t lookin’ for nothin’ in anyone’s eyes
Sometimes my burden is more than I can bear
It’s not dark yet but it’s gettin’ there.

I was born here and I’ll die here against my will
I know it looks like I’m movin’ but I’m standin’ still
Every nerve in my body is so naked and numb
I can’t even remember what it was I came here to get away from
Don’t even hear the murmur of a prayer
It’s not dark yet but it’s gettin’ there.

Not Dark Yet‘ ~Bob Dylan~

Annie has a new release out at the *Just BECAUSE* main store, the ‘Meriluu Gown’ is a beautiful gown with detailed lacing at the waist and a simple skirt falling to the floor. The straps and lacing is HUD driven and it’s rigged for the SLink(Hourglass/Physique), Belleza(Freya), Legacy, and Maitreya(Lara/Petite). It comes in 24 colours plus a fatpack.

I’m wearing the ‘Destiny’ hair from TRUTH Hair.

The bento pose is from the ‘Stillness’ set from WEST End.

I haven’t been to the new build at Grauland much, but I found this fantastic little graveyard of cars! I remember playing in one when I was just a little kid, it was much messier than this one is. 😀

That River

That River

No one ever loved that river
Rain from the highlands
A mirror for the cajun moon
A road without a memory
Of anything that started out as Blue
Well you can pour me
Like a jug of wine
Into the Gulf of Mexico, Honey
Until the end of time
But no one ever loved that river
The way I love you.

You move with your own rhythm
Like tide on the river
Lightning on the Ponchatrain
The way you come to me at midnight
Warm and naked as the rain
What were you whispering down at Natchez
Cause it muddied up my mind
About some great ocean
Goint o make you leave it all behind
Well, no one ever loved that river
The way I love you.

You’ve got land above the salt line
Bougainvillea in your hair
The barges pole from New Orleans
You said you’d leave without a care
But the rumor on the river is
Anything that touches you will be free
But I know you can’t be free
Well you can never leave this river
Without me.

Oh your eyes they flash defiance
They will not wait upon my word
Draw my eyes across the skyline
Like some long and graceful bird
Your lips have known me better, honey
And that satin ball of fur turns to blue
I cannot leave this river
I will not leave this river
Without you
No one ever loved that river
The way I loved you….

Riptide

Riptide

I was scared of dentists and the dark
I was scared of pretty girls and starting conversations
Oh, all my friends are turning green
You’re the magician’s assistant in their dream

Oh, oh, and they come unstuck

Lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left-hand man
I love you when you’re singing that song and
I got a lump in my throat ’cause
You’re gonna sing the words wrong

There’s this movie that I think you’ll like
This guy decides to quit his job and heads to New York City
This cowboy’s running from himself
And she’s been living on the highest shelf

Oh, oh, and they come unstuck

Lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left-hand man
I love you when you’re singing that song and
I got a lump in my throat ’cause
You’re gonna sing the words wrong

I just wanna, I just wanna know
If you’re gonna, if you’re gonna stay
I just gotta, I just gotta know
I can’t have it, I can’t have it any other way
I swear she’s destined for the screen
Closest thing to Michelle Pfeiffer that you’ve ever seen, oh

Lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left-hand man
I love you when you’re singing that song and
I got a lump in my throat ’cause
You’re gonna sing the words wrong

Oh Lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left-hand man
I love you when you’re singing that song and
I got a lump in my throat ’cause
You’re gonna sing the words wrong

Oh lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left-hand man
I love you when you’re singing that song and
I got a lump in my throat ’cause
You’re gonna sing the words wrong
And I got a lump in my throat ’cause
You’re gonna sing the words wrong

Lay Your Head On Me

Lay Your Head on Me

When you’re numb to the touch
You cannot chase this ghost away
And this too shall pass, this too shall pass
It won’t always be the same

And every single scar that you claim
Is a stone in the path to this place
And every single choice that you make
Has led you this way so lay your head on me

Lay your head on me
Lay your head on me
Lay your head on me
Don’t be afraid love

And I can see it in your eyes, love
And your secret is not safe with me
You can spin through the night with your powdered mind
But don’t cover up your scars for me

And every single choice that you make
Is a stone in the path to this place
And every single cut that you claim
Has led you this way

Lay your head on me
Lay your head on me
Lay your head on me
Lay your head on me
Don’t be afraid love

I said it’s okay it’s alright
Someday we will be fine
Staring down the long night
Waiting for the sunrise
It’s alright it’s okay
I’ve been there in your place
It’s okay it’s alright

Just lay your head on me (It’s okay it’s alright)
Lay your head on me (It’s okay it’s alright)
Lay your head on me (It’s okay it’s alright)
Lay your head on me (It’s okay it’s alright)
Don’t be afraid love
