…..if you wear a ‘toque’ in the winter instead of a ‘woolen cap’ or ‘beanie’.
…..if you make a run to the ‘LBS’ for a ‘two-four’.
…..if try your luck at ‘Rrrrrroll up the Rim’ at Tim’s when you get your Double-Double.
…..when a guy wears ‘gitch’ instead of ‘tighty whities’.
…..if your favourite potato chips are ‘Ketchup’.
…..if you ask your friend to, ‘lend me a toonie, eh!’
I have to say that these phrases are used in Canada, but it’s almost like we’re mocking ourselves when we use some of them. Although I do wear a ‘toque’ and like my coffee From Tim’s, but I like it with double cream no sugar. I try to win something when Tim’s has ‘Rrrrroll up the Rim’, which starts late February, but I usually have no luck. I don’t hear anyone say ‘gitch’ very much anymore, but I think that’s mainly because underwear doesn’t seem to be a topic that I talk about with anyone. The word ‘gitch’ can also be interchangeable with ‘ginch’ or ‘gonch’ too, it just depends on what part of the country you live in. Personally, I don’t really like Ketchup chips, they’re a funny red colour and don’t taste very good to me. The word ‘toonie’ is used often, why say ‘two dollars’ when you can say ‘toonie’! I do say ‘eh’ now and then, it’s just natural, but the belief that Canadians say ‘aboot’ instead of ‘about’ is not all encompassing. I live in the west and we say ‘about’, even we notice when people from the eastern provinces say ‘aboot’! Why do I mention Canada? Well, behind me in this photo is the ‘Trailer Park Boys’, as I’m sure anyone who has seen the show knows. If you haven’t seen it, you should watch…..it’s quite funny, and very Canadian! You too can pose with the Trailer Park Boys, just drop in at ‘Mother Road‘ and you’ll see all kinds of great scenes for photography! Paul has done a wonderful job with this sim!
I’m caught up in this book and I don’t care what’s going on around me, I need to find out what happens. While I’m reading, take a look at the beautiful new group gift from Slipper Originals. The ‘Love Rings’ are fitted for the Maitreya bento hands, the gift includes left and right rings, and they’re HUD driven with 6 metals. The Slipper Original group has a one time fee of 49L to join and in return you get a 5% discount on main store purchases and regular group gifts.
This book and pose is from the ‘Book Lovers’ sets of poses and props from Le Poppycock. There’s two sets, both including 6 poses with various props to add in each set. I wanted to add a little extra colour to my manicure so I’m wearing one of the 9 colour options in the ‘Fall Tipped Polish’ from ZoZ Icon. They’re available at the current round of Cosmopolitan, which runs until October 7.
