Play Me

Play Me

She was morning, and I was night time
I one day woke up
To find her lying beside my bed
I softly said “Come take me”
For I’ve been lonely in need of someone
As though I’d done someone wrong somewhere
But I don’t know where, I don’t know where
Come lately

You are the sun, I am the moon
You are the words, I am the tune
Play me

Song she sang to me
Song she brang to me
Words that rang in me,
Rhyme that sprang from me
Warmed the night, and what was right
Became me

You are the sun, I am the moon
You are the words, I am the tune
Play me

[Instrumental]

And so it was that I came to travel
Upon a road that was thorned and narrow
Another place, another grace
Would save me

You are the sun, I am the moon
You are the words, I am the tune
Play me
You are the sun, I am the moon
You are the words, I am the tune
Play me……

Play Me‘ ~Neil Diamond~

It’s been a really quiet Saturday, so far…..and I don’t expect it’s going to change. I’m going to keep it simple in order to not overtax my brain, so it’s just a song for you today! And of course a photograph…..of me…….again. I hope you’re all having a great weekend!

I’m using one of the poses from the ‘Bodyache’ sets of poses from Le Poppycock here. There’s 2 sets with 7 poses in each set and they’re all a nice variety of standing, sitting and laying………and all perfectly sexy! The ‘Bodyache’ sets of poses are available now at The Chapter Four.

I’m wearing the sexy ‘Anyway Bodysuit’, in black, from Asteria. It comes with both a solid and a lace version here with the option to wear the belt or not. The metals are HUD driven with 4 options each for the belt and the neck.

The ‘Bloom’ hair is from TRUTH Hair.

I’m wearing the ‘Maddie’ skin in ‘honey’ tone from The Skinnery on the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.

I’m sitting on the ‘Distressed Piano’ from Nutmeg and the sheet music is also from them, and both are available now at Shiny Shabby.

The ‘Sepia Peonies’ are from Nomad.

I visited the ‘Cafe des Arts’ at Summers Wind for this picture. Imagin@rium Art has an exposition by Giancarlo Perini, from RL to SL, and it’s outside, plus there are some nice pieces inside, which is where I am here.

Heaven Is A Place On Earth

Heaven is a Place on Earth

Ooh, baby, do you know what that’s worth?
Ooh heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first
We’ll make heaven a place on earth
Ooh heaven is a place on earth

When the night falls down
I wait for you
And you come around
And the world’s alive
With the sound of kids
On the street outside

When you walk into the room
You pull me close and we start to move
And we’re spinning with the stars above
And you lift me up in a wave of love…

Ooh, baby, do you know what that’s worth?
Ooh heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first
We’ll make heaven a place on earth
Ooh heaven is a place on earth

When I feel alone
I reach for you
And you bring me home
When I’m lost at sea
I hear your voice
And it carries me

In this world we’re just beginning
To understand the miracle of living
Baby I was afraid before
But I’m not afraid anymore

Ooh, baby, do you know what that’s worth?
Ooh heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first
We’ll make heaven a place on earth
Ooh heaven is a place on earth

In this world we’re just beginning
To understand the miracle of living
Baby I was afraid before
But I’m not afraid anymore

Ooh, baby, do you know what that’s worth?
Ooh heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first
We’ll make heaven a place on earth
Ooh heaven is a place on earth

Heaven Is A Place On Earth‘ ~Belinda Carlisle~

I don’t want to wait until I die to see heaven, if one is to believe in it, of course. Why can’t heaven be here on earth, it’s all a state of mind, and it’s there if you choose to see it. There’s parts of my life that I know heaven was nowhere to be found, heck we all have those times. But, when things are good……well….when things are really good, I like to acknowledge that the good things in life are heaven on earth. And as it always is for me, it’s the simple things, I don’t think a certain car is heaven on earth, or being in Mexico for a winter vacation is heavenly. Those things are probably nice if that’s what you want, but for me heaven is loving and being loved, nature and the wonders of this world, living in a great country that allows me to live the life I choose, and having my family close. I know those aren’t things that some people would call heavenly, but I’ve never been one to put that much value on material things. I may not have everything, but I have all I need, and that’s heaven on earth, right there.

Le Poppycock is in the September round of The Chapter Four with the ‘Bodyache A & B’ sets of poses, of which I’m using one here. Each pack has 7 poses of various sits, stands, and lays with flat and high feet options when needed, and there’s now a few bento add on poses for the hands. Which will come in handy because you’ll be able to add them to other poses, when needed. I’m using the ‘Seduce & Destroy’ pose with a bento hand pose, and along with the poses themselves, there’s pose balls containing the poses, included.

I’m wearing the bra and panties from the ‘Roseanne Lingerie’ set from Big Beautiful Doll. The set also includes garter and stockings in 3 colours.

One of my all time favourite hair is the ‘G1204’ from tram.

As always, I’m wearing the ‘Maddie’ skin in ‘honey’ tone from The Skinnery on the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.

I’m sitting on the ‘Distressed Grand Piano, dark’ from Nutmeg and available at the current round of Shiny Shabby.

Moondance

Moondance

Well, it’s a marvelous night for a Moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
‘Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I’m trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low
And all the night’s magic seems to whisper and hush
And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush

[Chorus:]
Can I just have one a’ more Moondance with you, my love
Can I just make some more romance with a-you, my love

Well, I wanna make love to you tonight
I can’t wait ’til the morning has come
And I know that the time is just right
And straight into my arms you will run
And when you come my heart will be waiting
To make sure that you’re never alone
There and then all my dreams will come true, dear
There and then I will make you my own
And every time I touch you, you just tremble inside
And I know how much you want me that you can’t hide

Moondance‘ ~Van Morrison~

It’s cloudy and cool, a bit of drizzle coming down and a light breeze from the north makes it cooler than the temperature suggests. The lights are low and the house is warm as I sit in a mostly dark computer room, with only a salt lamp casting a dim light beside the computer. The dog’s stretched out on her bed, sound asleep, and everything outside is tucked in for the night, which leaves me here to sit quietly and think. I’ve had far too much coffee today, I’ve seen too much news, and although the day was quiet, I’m a little unsettled. I can enjoy this cozy solitude though, I have a beautifully scented candle burning and I’m really tempted to get the furnace to kick in to have it really toasty in here this evening. This is my reality at this moment, but what I want to be doing? The picture is worth a thousand words, snuggled warmly in Vrir’s arms, both of us elegantly dressed, the piano awaits someone to play so we can dance long into the night, pressed close together. Because it’s a marvelous night for a moon dance, with the stars up above in the sky. And I can’t deny it’s a fantabulous night to make romance ‘neath the cover of August(?) skies. Tonight in my thoughts I’m going to dance like no one’s watching and love like I’ve never been hurt. ♥

I’m wearing the form fitting and elegant ‘Nadine Gown’ from *Just BECAUSE* for the evening of romance and dancing. It’s a new release at the main store and it’s truly gorgeous. It’s simple top leaves the perfect amount of skin for the imagination, the flowing skirt that trails beautifully behind, and the brocade detailing all make this a classic. It comes in 32 colours and is fitted for the Maitreya, SLink(Hourglass), and Belleza(Isis/Freya) mesh bodies.

The gorgeous ‘Bloom’ hair is from Truth Hair, this is from the ‘Multitone 1’ set.

The ‘Enigma’ tattoo is from Queen oF Ink.

As always, I’m wearing the ‘Maddie’ skin in ‘honey’ tone from The Skinnery on the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ Mesh body from Maitreya.

The pose is one of the animations from the ‘Distressed Grand Piano, dark’ from Nutmeg and available now at Shiny Shabby.

The ‘Sepia Peonies’ from Nomad are on the piano.

Wish You Were Here

Wish You Were Here

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange
A walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We’re just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

Wish You Were Here‘ ~Pink Floyd~

There’s a few people that I could say this to, and it’s most noticeable when the time comes that the person is normally with me that I notice the emptiness most. I’m alone in bed here in Second Life at a time of day that I’m not normally alone. In this case I know it’s only for the day, so I spend my time working on a photograph or blog post, or go shopping, at a time that I don’t normally do those things. No worries though, because I know tomorrow he’ll be back and we’ll be together again. But, it’s coming up to the time of year that I miss one person the most, and I know I won’t see him again. I lost my grandfather, Grandad to everyone, in October so many years ago, but once the days get shorter and fall seems to be imminent, I feel his absence the most. He was a big part of my life, he was such a gentle man. The autumn always makes me melancholy, and since fall can go on for awhile, it gets to be a long season of that feeling. I love fall, the crisp mornings, the big clear skies all day, and the setting sun glowing golden in the dust from the harvest that’s underway. A gorgeous fall day can make a person glad to be alive, and I am glad I’m alive, but I do wish Grandad was too, so we could spend the time together like we did when I was young. It never occured to me back then that I’d never hear his stories again, and I wish I could see him just one more time, to really appreciate everything he brought to my life and to ask him questions that I never did when he was alive. At this point I don’t mourn his passing, I think of all the good times we had and when a chance arises to say one of his much used sayings, I do, and I smile when I think of him saying it.

I’m wearing a new release from Carol G Tattoo Studio here, and it’s stunning, I must say. The ‘Pains & Flowers’ tattoo is an upper body tattoo covering the arms, hands(including backs and palms), upper back and dècolletage. It’s gorgeous floral theme is consistent throughout and in the center of the chest is the saying’ ‘That of my pains, sprouts flowers’, which is something that everyone should try to achieve. The pain experienced is meant to learn from, so don’t waste that chance. It’s available in colour and black&white(seen here) and is compatible with all the major mesh bodies including Omega compatible bodies. It’s available now at Shiny Shabby.

I’m wearing the pasties and thong from the ‘Diora Corset Outfit’ from Ascend.

As always I’m wearing the ‘Maddie’ skin in ‘honey’ tone from The Skinnery on the ‘Lilo’ bento head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.

The pose is from the ‘Fine Sand’ set of poses from BodyLanguage SLC, and available at Kustom9.

Superman’s Song

Superman's Song

Tarzan
Wasn’t a ladies’ man
He’d just come along and scoop ’em up under his arm like that
Quick as a cat
In the jungle

But Clark Kent
Now there was a real gent
He would not be caught sittin’ around in no junglescape,
Dumb as an ape
Doing nothing

Superman never made any money
For saving the world from Solomon Grundy
And sometimes I despair the world will never see another man like him

Hey Bob,
Supe had a straight job
Even though he could have smashed through any bank in the United States,
Well he had the strength,
But he would not

Folks said
His family were all dead
Planet crumbled but Superman, he forced himself to carry on,
Forget Krypton,
And keep going

Superman never made any money
For saving the world from Solomon Grundy
And sometimes I despair the world will never see another man like him

Tarzan was king of the jungle and Lord over all the apes
But he could hardly string together four words “I Tarzan, You Jane”

Sometimes when
Supe was stopping crimes
I’ll bet that he was tempted to just quit and turn his back on man
Join Tarzan
In the forest

But he
Stayed in the city,
And kept on changing clothes in dirty old phone booths ’til his work was through
And nothing to do
But go on home

Superman never made any money
For saving the world from Solomon Grundy
And sometimes I despair the world will never see another man like him

And sometimes I despair the world will never see another man like him

Superman’s Song‘ ~Crash Test Dummies~

I’m short of words today, so all you’re going to get out of me is a song, by the Canadian band ‘Crash Test Dummies’. If you never click on the link of the songs I share, I suggest you click on this one, it’s worth a listen.

I have to admit to being completely in love with shoes from **UTOPIA@DESIGN**, it’s all I’ve been wearing for quite some time, and here are a pair of my favourites. These are ‘Odette’ and I will confess that there are times that the only thing I wear are these shoes. The HUD has 12 preset colour combinations, plus 6 areas to customize with 10 colours, plus metals and there’s 5 levels of glossiness. They’re fitted for the Maitreya(seen here), SLink, and Belleza mesh feet and I’m proof that they shape the leg perfectly and make it look like I have legs right up to there!

I made a quick trip to the August round of Shiny Shabby and it’s a good thing it was quick, because it didn’t take me long to bog down from the lag, it was like Boxing Day shopping in August. I grabbed what I went for, which is the newest release from Nutmeg, the ‘Distressed Grand Piano’ and accompanying accessories, which can all be purchased in a fatpack. The bench, music sheets on the floor and standing, along with the vintage metronome along with the piano with 4 different colours of drape with it all make a gorgeous setting for a picture as the centerpiece of a scene or a backdrop to show off some shoes. Shiny Shabby runs until the end of the month.

I’ve added the ‘Sepia Peonies’ from NOMAD to the scene for a little bit of floral decor in gorgeous muted tones.

The pose is from the ‘Frequency’ set of poses from Le Poppycock.
