What's In Your Pockets?

I remember the days of having a laundry day, where all the laundry is done all in one day to get it out of the way for the week. But, with the advent of automatic washers, laundry is pretty much whenever I feel like it or it’s become a necessity. So, today it’s a necessity and I’ve done a couple loads of things I can’t do without. One of the loads is what I wear around home doing my outside work, and while I was emptying pockets I was wondering what non farming people find in their pockets. Today I found a washer for a garden hose, a piece of baler twine, a drill bit, and a fence staple. It doesn’t take me long to gather up a plethora of things throughout my daily travels! So with that in mind, what do people in other occupations find when they do laundry? A mechanic probably finds nuts or bolts, a carpenter maybe has the stub of a pencil in his, and maybe a plumber has an empty spool of teflon tape. One thing I don’t want to know is what a doctor, meat cutter, or funeral director finds in theirs!

The weather here has taken a turn for the worse and it’s time to bring out the toques and mitts. So, in honour of that I’ve chosen the ‘Mira’ hair, which features a much needed beanie, from Besom. This is the extensions pack available at the October round of Collabor88 and it contains a whopping 108 colours! The bangs are an add on that, when worn, have three styling options to make it just the way you like!

Make sure to mark the Underdog Event down on your Second Life calendar! It starts on October 14 and make sure to grab the ‘Crescent Necklace’ from Slipper Originals while you’re there! It’s HUD driven with about a million options including on/off options for the kitty and the stars as well as 14 colours for the moon, bead, and rope. The Underdog Event runs from October 14 to November 4.

I’ve completely fallen in love with this skin from Avada! This skin isn’t available to the public yet, but stay tuned and you can find out when and where it’ll be when it’s released. It’s ‘Raine’ in ‘miel’ tone and it’s luscious lips are the best part, in my opinion…although it’s all gorgeous! I’ve added one of the options from the ‘Sydney’ eyeshadow Catwa applier from Le Boheme. As always my look all starts with the ‘Lilo’ bento mesh head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.

The V Neck Sweater from Tres Blah was part of a previous Luxe Box which I found in the back of my inventory all wrinkled and dusty! It’s definitely sweater weather.

The ‘Kaylah Jeans’ from Just Because are available at the current round of ~uber~, and you may not be able to see this, but I’m wearing them with the ‘Anna Boots with socks’ also from JB! The jeans are fitted for the major mesh bodies and there’s a few versions, including one to wear with these boots! Love them!

My eyes are from the ‘Nissa Eyes’ pack from Zombie Suicide.

This pose is from the ‘Barcelona’ set of poses from PosESioN.

I’ve taken in the sights at The Last Forever while taking this pic.

Heyyyy.........My Face is Up Here

While checking out my stats and profile on flickr I found out which of my pictures is most popular. It’s solely rated on the number of faves it has, and I will admit it’s a pretty good one, but, it’s of my a**! yea…of all of my thousand and some pictures that I’ve put on flickr, it’s my a** that everyone wants to see! So, because of that, today I’ll show you my face! You remember my face……it has two eyes, a nose, two lips and a look that brings on the question, ‘what are you mad at?’! And I have to say, ‘It’s just my face!’. In Second Life I have a fairly pretty face that I think represents ‘me’ fairly well. I think it expresses who I am in real life and I look at Liz and see myself. They say the eyes are the window to the soul, but how does anyone see my soul when they only look at my a**? 😛 I’m sure I’ll need to put my back to the camera again and feature my backside, but until then, I guess you can check out my most popular picture on flickr, I’m starting to think it’s my best feature! 😀

Firstly, the ‘Felicity Palm Ring’ from Slipper Originals is a unique piece of jewellery that really stands out from the crowd. It’s a simple band with a gorgeous set of gems set into it to accent the back of the hand! They’re fitted for the Maitreya and SLink bento hands and there’s left and right versions included. Like all HUDs from SO, there’s a schwack of colour options which consists 14 gems and six metals. It’s available for the next few days at Designer Circle, and will then be at the Slipper Originals main store.

At first glance you may think that it’s just another picture of Liz, but if you look closely you may see some slight changes. I’ve been given a chance to preview an upcoming release of a new skin from Avada, and I couldn’t be happier! This is ‘Raine’ in ‘miel’ tone and the detailing is incredible! These lips are begging to be kissed, and by someone that knows how! 😀 You won’t be able to get your own copy of this fab skin until November, but until then….just keep looking at me! Thanks so much, Stephanie for this exclusive preview!

I’m using a pose from the ‘Xion’ set of poses from Animosity! The set includes 6 poses and I want to remind everyone that they’re made for a male avatar so the ladies may have to make some adjustments to their shape for them to work properly. I love the diversity and uniqueness of poses from Animosity, they can really help get the creative juices flowing! The ‘Xion’ set is available at Men Only Monthly until October 15 and then watch for them at the Animosity main store, which is currently under construction.

Pimp My Sh!t is back and going strong in the October round of the Bodyfy event! I’m wearing the ‘Smokey Eyeshadow’ set that’s an exclusive to the event. It’s compatible with Catwa, Lelutka and Omega heads and also classic avatars. I love the smokey look for a dark and mysterious aura!

I new I’d be coming back to wear the ‘Amal’ hair from [BAD HAIR DAY]. It’s just that kind of hair style that I can put on knowing it looks good and I can explore Second Life with confidence! This colour is from the ‘browns’ pack and it’s the first look I’ve shown of all one colour, since I usually opt for a combination of naturals and colours. The [BAD] colour palette is huge and each hair has two layers that can be customized independently along with the inclusion of a mirrored version.

My eyes are one of the ten selections from the ‘Nissa Eyes’ set of eyes from Zombie Suicide.

You’re getting a glimpse of the strap of the ‘Sideview Bodysuit’ from Vale Koer and available at the current round of ~uber~, which runs until October 23.. It’s really worth seeing the whole thing….it’s so sexy! 😉

As usual, I’m wearing the ‘Lilo’ bento mesh head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya, bento hands included.

You Might Be a Canadian.......

…..if you wear a ‘toque’ in the winter instead of a ‘woolen cap’ or ‘beanie’.

…..if you make a run to the ‘LBS’ for a ‘two-four’.

…..if try your luck at ‘Rrrrrroll up the Rim’ at Tim’s when you get your Double-Double.

…..when a guy wears ‘gitch’ instead of ‘tighty whities’.

…..if your favourite potato chips are ‘Ketchup’.

…..if you ask your friend to, ‘lend me a toonie, eh!’

I have to say that these phrases are used in Canada, but it’s almost like we’re mocking ourselves when we use some of them. Although I do wear a ‘toque’ and like my coffee From Tim’s, but I like it with double cream no sugar. I try to win something when Tim’s has ‘Rrrrroll up the Rim’, which starts late February, but I usually have no luck. I don’t hear anyone say ‘gitch’ very much anymore, but I think that’s mainly because underwear doesn’t seem to be a topic that I talk about with anyone. The word ‘gitch’ can also be interchangeable with ‘ginch’ or ‘gonch’ too, it just depends on what part of the country you live in. Personally, I don’t really like Ketchup chips, they’re a funny red colour and don’t taste very good to me. The word ‘toonie’ is used often, why say ‘two dollars’ when you can say ‘toonie’! I do say ‘eh’ now and then, it’s just natural, but the belief that Canadians say ‘aboot’ instead of ‘about’ is not all encompassing. I live in the west and we say ‘about’, even we notice when people from the eastern provinces say ‘aboot’! Why do I mention Canada? Well, behind me in this photo is the ‘Trailer Park Boys’, as I’m sure anyone who has seen the show knows. If you haven’t seen it, you should watch…..it’s quite funny, and very Canadian! You too can pose with the Trailer Park Boys, just drop in at ‘Mother Road‘ and you’ll see all kinds of great scenes for photography! Paul has done a wonderful job with this sim!

I’m caught up in this book and I don’t care what’s going on around me, I need to find out what happens. While I’m reading, take a look at the beautiful new group gift from Slipper Originals. The ‘Love Rings’ are fitted for the Maitreya bento hands, the gift includes left and right rings, and they’re HUD driven with 6 metals. The Slipper Original group has a one time fee of 49L to join and in return you get a 5% discount on main store purchases and regular group gifts.

This book and pose is from the ‘Book Lovers’ sets of poses and props from Le Poppycock. There’s two sets, both including 6 poses with various props to add in each set. This is pose is called ‘Portable Magic’! Which a book is, of course! These sets are at the current round of The Liaison Collaborative, which runs until the end of the month.

I wanted to add a little extra colour to my manicure so I’m wearing one of the 9 colour options in the ‘Fall Tipped Polish’ from ZoZ Icon. They’re available at the current round of Cosmopolitan, which runs until October 7.

The ‘Mandala Tattoo’ is from .::INKer::.. It comes in two tones and is compatible with the big 3 mesh bodies for women plus Omega and also the SLink and Signature mesh bodies for men.

The ‘Fitted Cardigan’ is from the paper arrow co.. It’s fitted for the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya and available at the September round of ~uber~.

The ‘HOTARU’ hair is from Argrace.

The ‘Lilla, gold’ glasses are a work of art from Air.

My look all begins with the ‘Luna’ skin in ‘miel’ tone from Avada on the ‘Lilo 3.0’ bento mesh head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya. I’ve added a little bit of eye shadow from the ‘Harvest Shadow’ from Veechi. My eyes are from the ‘Nissa Eyes’ pack from Zombie Suicide.

Goodbye

I’ve got our love to remember
That will never change
I have you in my head
And though I’ll never hold you
And I’m still asking why
I guess that this is goodbye

My dreams suddenly seem so empty
I could go it on my own
But I feel like playin’ dead
And for what feels like the first time
I don’t know where you are tonight
I guess that this is goodbye

We lived half our lives together
A cloud full of tears
It’s a lot of weight to bear
And the sun, it may be shining
But there’s an ocean in my eyes
Cause I know that this is goodbye
Cause I know that this is goodbye
I know that this is goodbye

Goodbye ~Eddie Vedder~

I’m a person of few words this morning. I’ve been a bit of a downer of late and, as such, it’s been a struggle to find any creativity. I’ve managed to get a picture I’m OK with, and an outfit I love, so since I have little to say, I guess 2 out of 3 ain’t bad! Oh…..and if the pic or the lack of topic for the blog post today doesn’t float your boat…..enjoy some Eddie Vedder…he can make any day perfect!

Today it’s all about the boots! The ‘Addison Boots’ are from Ingenue and exclusive to the fall round of Shoetopia! They fit the SLink and Maitreya mid feet and come in twelve colours. The first thing I thought when I saw these was…omg…I love these boots, but then I thought….oh…but what pants to wear with them! The age old SL problem of pants under boots is completely negated here! These boots are a loose fit around the ankle and also not so high that they interfere with the pant leg. These are the perfect autumn boots!

The ‘Taylor Suede Leggings’ from Emery are available at the September round of ~uber~ and are a must have for this fall fashion season. They come in 7 colours and are an exclusive fit for the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.

I’m ready to bring out the heavier tops for fall so the first one I wanted to wear is the ‘Quilted Crop Top’ from Tetra. It’s super long sleeves and nice midriff baring hemline make it one of my favourites.

The ‘HOTARU’, black hair is from Argrace.

To make sure my ankles stay warm I’ve added the ‘Cozy Tights’ from Izzie’s.

There’s not much detail seen here, but my whole look starts with the ‘Luna’ skin in ‘miel’ tone from Avada on the ‘Lilo’ bento mesh head from Catwa and the ‘Lara’ mesh body from Maitreya.

The pose is ‘Wall Sulk’ from Del May.

I’m using the ‘Airport Scene, Rare’ from Pseudo.

Modern Tete a Tete

I think, we as human beings, crave intimacy….and I don’t mean only sexual intimacy, I mean the bonding and closeness of being with someone that’s a kindred spirit. The true kindred spirit, to me, feels like being home and there’s peace in just being together and knowing that nothing needs to be said to enjoy each others company. I like my alone time, and in large quantities, but even I appreciate some quality time with someone I enjoy being with. It’s not about what two people do when together, it’s the quality of the bond being together creates that’s important.

Phen Balfour and I got together, and the ‘Modern Tete a Tete’ was the perfect little hideaway for us to enjoy each others company, the gentle vibes and pleasant atmosphere created by this build from KraftWork made time just fly by. It’s perfect for a little house or apartment as it fits pretty much anywhere and with the many sits and animations, two people can converse til the cows come home. It may be out in the wide expanse of the desert here, but we’re still able to have a talk and enjoy each others company. The ‘Modern Tete a Tete’ is available now at Cosmopolitan.

And as for my outfit, the Mallory Shorts and Baldwin Top are from Rebel gal and available at the current round of ~uber~. The ultra feminine hair is ‘Lily’ from Mina Hair and also available at ~uber~. Phen is wearing the Anja Blouse, Vapor
and the Anjai Shorts, Onyx, both from REVOUL and the Summer Belt Sandals, Black from Zenith.

We met at the newly expanded ‘Mother Road‘ sim, where rezz rights is had for only a 100L$ group join fee.

For a different angle and a lovely sunset please visit Phen’s blog post ‘You See it Your Way…‘ featuring the ‘Modern Tete a Tete’.
